3. Juan PACHÉCO (________¹) was born in 1775 in Spain and died in 1865 in India at age 90.

General Notes: Don Juan Pachéco was an architect. He came from Spain/Portugal with his brother Emmanuel, disembarked in Cochin, India and settled in Coorg. He later went to Sunkeri with Leon Texeira in the early 19th century. He was invited to settle down in Sunkeri by his brother, Fr. Emmanuel Pacheco who had joined a seminary in Goa and was posted in Sunkeri.

Juan married Grace TEXEIRA, daughter of Leon TEXEIRA. Grace was born circa 1800 in Sunkeri, Karwar, Karnataka, India and died circa 1826 about age 26.

Children from this marriage were:

   4    i. Fr. Francis John PACHÉCO was born in 1817 and died in 1885 at age 68.

+ 5    ii. Leon PACHÉCO .

+ 6    iii. Balthazar PACHÉCO died on Jun 22, 1869.

+ 7    iv. Louisa PACHÉCO was born circa 1824.

+ 8    v. Rita PACHÉCO was born in 1825 and died in 1913 at age 88.

+ 9    vi. Regina PACHÉCO was born circa 1826.

Juan next married Arcadia.

Children from this marriage were:

+ 10    i. Ignatius PACHÉCO was born on Feb 2, 1838 and died on Jan 1, 1901 at age 62.

   11    ii. Daniel PACHÉCO

+ 12    iii. Maffalda PACHÉCO

+ 13    iv. Emmanuel PACHÉCO was born on Feb 27, 1849 and died on Mar 6, 1928 at age 79.
